Dear Parents,

We are very proud to announce that Miss Marisa Shaheen, our Guidance Counselor, was selected as the recipient of the 2013 Monmouth County Superintendent’s Teacher Recognition Program/Educational Services Professionals Program. This is truly a well-deserved honor.The Monmouth County Superintendent’s Teacher Recognition Program/Educational Services Professionals Program was initiated last year to continue the program begun in 1986 by former Governor Thomas Kean to give recognition to deserving teachers throughout the state. A selectionprocess, defined by law, was established to select a teacher who distinguished himself/herself through exceptional contributions in specified areas. A selection panel, also designated by law, made up of parents, teachers, other citizens and administration, reviewed the nominations received and voted upon this choice.Miss Shaheen was selected from a group of very fine nominees. The 2013 Monmouth County Superintendent’s Teacher Recognition Program/Educational Services Professionals Program ceremony will be held in the spring.

The Board of Education will be honoring Miss Shaheen at the April 16th Regular Board of Education meeting at 8:00 PM.
